The Spark Collective: Where Creativity Meets Community

  • 96 Middlesex Road Surrey Hills, VIC, 3127 Australia (map)

Where Creativity meets Community

To be human is to be creative. But somewhere along the way we have inherited the story that creativity is reserved for, and only to be shared by, those who are ‘good’ at it.

But what if sharing our creativity is good for us? What if it is deeply healing for us?  What if it allows us to shift energy within us that would otherwise remain unexpressed and stuck?

Introducing The Spark Collective.

The purpose of The Spark Collective is to create a welcoming, encouraging and non-judgemental space in which we can gather as a community to connect and share our creative gifts, whatever they might be. It can be poetry, story-telling, music, singing, mantra or kirtan, sound healing, meditation, dance … whatever medium lights you up!

You do not need to be professionally trained or blessed with extraordinary talent. This is a forum for us to remember that creativity is inherent to our humanness and much healing and joy is to be experienced when we share our creative, courageous self.

When: Thursday 22 May 7.30pm to 9pm

Where: InSpirit Urban Retreat, 96 Middlesex Road, Surrey Hills.

All welcome, including supportive audience members!

Sharon Spencer will hold the space & be MC for the night (and offer a little mantra kirtan along the way!)

Attendance by small donation at the door to cover event costs.

Let Sharon know by email if you would like to share something or have any questions.

Depending on how many we have sharing, each offering expected to go no longer than 10 minutes.

The evening will close with tea, nibbles and chats.
